In-home newborn sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for a calm, flexible experience that flows at your baby’s pace. This extended window gives us the space to pause for feedings, diaper changes, and comforting snuggles — all without any pressure or rush.
The session takes place in the comfort of your own home, where everyone can feel relaxed and at ease. Whether you're soaking in quiet moments together, sharing tender family interactions, or capturing your baby’s tiny details, this gentle timeframe ensures we can document this precious stage with care and intention.
DO YOU BRING PROPS TO IN-HOME NEWBORN SESSIONS?
For newborn sessions, I do not do traditional posed newborn photography. Instead, I focus on capturing your baby naturally and beautifully in your home environment.
That said, I do bring a few simple items to enhance the session, including:

For your in-home newborn photography session, I recommend having neutral clothing on hand that complements your home’s décor—especially for any family photos. Soft, earthy tones, creams, whites, or pastels photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your baby.
For your newborn, ONE simple, well-fitting onesie or sleeper that coordinates with the nursery colors works perfectly. Avoid bold patterns or logos—minimalist and timeless pieces always photograph best. If you're unsure, I’m happy to help you choose outfits ahead of time to ensure everything looks cohesive and beautiful in your photos.
