WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE CHRISTMAS PHOTO?
It takes me 2-3 weeks to edit, so I would suggest anytime between October 1st and December 15th depending on if you are deciding to make Christmas Cards or not. If you like to make Christmas cards, I would book your session as early in the season as possible so you have time to have them made, address and send them out in the mail.
CAN WE TAKE SOME NON-CHRISTMAS PHOTOS AT A CHRISTMAS SESSION?
Yes, my sessions allow enough time to use 2-3 backdrops. You can have a mixture of Christmas and non-Christmas backdrops for your session. We will also have time for 2-3 outfits as well.
WHERE WILL THE CHRISTMAS SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Christmas sessions can take place in my studio located in Lake in the Hills, IL
HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION LAST?
Family sessions are 1 hour in length.
WHAT DO WE WEAR?
I suggest that you wear outfits that match but are not the same. For example you SHOULD NOT all be wearing the same color shirt and the same color pants. What you SHOULD do is pick a color theme. I suggest Googling "____ color palette". In the blank put in words like Christmas, winter, etc. Doing so will give you a lot of great color combinations and ideas. From there you just match everyone in those colors. For example if you have the colors of cream, red, and dark green. Mom could be wearing a flower dress with all the colors, the boys wearing jeans, one boy in a red shirt, dad in a cream shirt, little girl in a dark green color dress with a red necklace, etc. The one exception to this is matching Christmas jammies, because that's just extra fun. If you would like some more samples, please let me know, and I can send some to you.
Please make sure that you remove or repaint chipped nail polish and remove temporary tattoos. I charge extra to edit these from images.

Details about Backdrops:
Themed Backdrops: Are meant for children under the age of 10. I have put older children and adults on them but the photos are mostly waist up.
Family Photo Backdrop Suggestions: Non-themed brick, wood, etc. Usually waste up, but sometimes can get full body with sitting down depending on the size of the family.
Solid Backdrops: I have several solid colored backdrops. These are the ones you want to choose if you want full body and/or standing family photos.
